The company record

An operating company,
not a landing page.

InferenceDevices, Inc. is a Massachusetts corporation based in Newton — an applied SI company: teaching AI to be SI, and building SI-native applications. Not frontier models. Things that work, in public, with receipts.

Chapter one — the hardware

We started by selling the machines.

InferenceDevices began as an NVIDIA hardware channel: sourcing edge AI machines — Jetson, DGX-class, and the used market — for people who build with them, with a simple reputation to protect: we pick up the phone, and we say what stock and lead times actually are. The channel still runs. It is also the cloud's supply engine: it sources the fleet's cards, and it gives stranded hardware a residual-value floor. The shop now lives in its own corner of this site, intact.

The books — the SI program in print

A shelf, built one night at a time.

From AI to SI — How AI Is Becoming, and Will Become, Super Intelligence (2026) is the program's flagship text: the argument that today's AI is becoming SI, and what that obliges the people building it. Around it, a working shelf — ten titles, twenty editions — published under our own imprint, Kurkalabs Press, alongside the Fieldwork Notes at KurkaLabs, where the work is documented as it happens. The doctrine behind the shelf: a book can compress the loop — publish a project's full details in one night, promote it the next day.

The built shelf — SI-native software

Shelves, factories, books, tools.

The company builds SI-native applications: public-record registries and civic shelves, publishing machinery that runs a multi-platform press from a single source of truth, and the tooling that lets a small shop operate like a much larger one — each system specified, built, and run in the open, with its evidence published rather than asserted.

The cloud — the current chapter

The doctrine, with an invoice attached.

The Cloud SI takes the company's position — dedicated machines, open weights, policy set by the operator, receipts by default — and offers it as a tenancy. It begins, as everything here begins, with a document: “The Third Door,” an open proposal to Sam Altman that states the category, the chosen customers, and the refusals, in public. The build follows it, staging first, receipts published as they land on the receipts page.

The people

Small on purpose.

InferenceDevices is founded and run by Frank Kurka — four decades of automated test and diagnostic systems behind him, from missile-program test engineering to the present work — with an inner circle of AI collaborators and a fenced bench of agents behind them. The surface a customer deals with stays human-sized: one shop, in Newton, that answers.
